Hillsboro - Clifford C. Crumley, 73, former mayor of Covington and who for 30 years was a funeral director in Hillsboro and Covington, died shortly before midnight Monday at his home in Apopka, Fla., where he had lived since 1948. Born May 27, 1882, on a farm west of Mellott, Mr. Crumley was the son of William V. and Elizabeth E. Boord Crumley. He was married twice, first in July, 1900, to Cora Howard, who died Feb. 8, 1927. His second wife, Ada Crane, whom he married in 1928, survives. Also surviving are two sons, Howard Crumley of Williamsport, and Clair Crumley, Hillsboro funeral director; two stepsons, Dr. Lawrence Crane of Attica and Gordon Crane of Goodland; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Crumley, who was active in business and civic affairs in Fountain County most of his life, was a member of the Union Christian Church. In addition to serving as mayor of Covington he also served two terms as coroner of Fountain County. Mr. Crumley retired from active business a year ago. Previously he had operated a trailer court at Apopka, Fla. The body will be returned to the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Hillsboro - Funeral services for Clifford Crumley, who died Monday at Apopka, Fla., will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Hillsboro - Funeral services for Clifford C. Crumley, who died at his home in Apopka, Fla., Monday night, Dec. 26, were held at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro Saturday afternoon, with Rev. G. T. Johnson officiating. Those serving as pallbearers included Charles Massey, Everett Ratcliff, Ralph Harden, Walter Harlan, Forrest Crumley and Earl Boord. They also served as flower bearers. Burial was in the rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro.
